Loteuk 6
Saw the post on over heating but I have an irratic temprature reading that is 90% of the driving time, even under load, 50 or less on the guage (without air con on) but occasionally rised infrequently to 70. At first I thought the engine was out of coolant but proved otherwise. The oil pressure is regular in hot conditions in traffic. Thermostat ? Is there an eliminating test that can be done? Is this common with the guages? The 5 other esprits I had never had this problem.............. The fans are not cutting in early. Dunno...........foxed me!! Could be the gauge, an air pocket, or the thermostat. Check the gauge reading and compare that to the ECU water temp in Freescan since they use two different senders. If they don't agree, then bad gauge, wiring, or air pocket. Quote Travis Vulcan Grey 89SE My Lotus Photo and Projects Album
matk 17
Erratic guages often down to electrical connections on the guages or perhaps the voltage regulator behind the binnacle? Regards Mat Kutub 1979 S2 Quote Regards Mat
