Chromed mazak gearstick finisher (Elite & Eclat)

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Cannot repair my existing self destructing mazak finisher, even chemical metal wont adhere to it.

Bridges the gap, but then snaps off when sanded.

Have any of you gentlemen got a spare one, that I could buy off you?

Or know of the whereabouts of a car being broken for spares.

Cheers,

Iain

Hi Tocus,

Appologies for not replying sooner, have just read your message, have been working 12 hour shifts!

If you still have your gearstick finisher would be very interested in buying it from you.

Do you have any other hard to find parts?

Sincerest apologies again,

Iain

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the heads up.

Going to have a look.

Have recently sourced SJ's last remaining original radio ariel. However, when fitted, the end of the ariel tube is touching the the boot interior bodywork and consequently I cannot achieve that acute angle required on the back of the car. Have filled in the aperture with glass and intending to move the cutout up slightly, but the ariel will still not be vertical when extracted (slightly angled towrds the nose of the car.

Any ideas would be very welcome, also how was the ariel originally earthed?

Have just finished retrimming the whole boot area with latex backed black carpet from Coverdales, and made up new hardboard carpet covered rear light covers to replace the old black card ones, looks the dogs whatsinames now.

Did the bracket bolted to the rear of the boot, that supports the taigate lock have some sort of ABS cover?

There is a plastic moulding at the top, but nothing below it.

Looks very unfinished as a bare bracket.

Cheers,

Iain
