New exhaust videos!

Recommended Posts

A couple of you guys said you would like to see a video of my car driving by, so here it is!

Car: 1994 Esprit S4 : K&N Filter, 2.5 inch center exhaust, no muffler, stock cat

Also took some pictures while out running around, one of them is attached at the bottom.

EDIT:

I put them up on YouTube as well:

Second pass (bounced off of the rev limiter accidentally in this one, hence the popping because I disengaged the clutch):

Hope you guys enjoy it!

Ahh all have our crosses to bear hehe  <_<

Nice - sounds exactly like mine, although mine has a tendancy for flames if I come on and off the throttle too much

Man that sounds great. I think I'm taking my magnaflow twin entry exhaust off and putting a small single entry/exit magnaflow off. Sounds gloriously robust!!!!!! "Tommy Likey!"(said in Chris Farley voice)

Thanks for the nice comments guys!! I added some YouTube links as well, these should load faster.

Jon: Thanks for the comment! I can't believe how much work you've put into your car, it looks fantastic! Were lucky here in Texas, corrosion isn't much of a problem  .

Artie: How much faster does the car feel with that WC turbo? I've been following your car on here since you posted pics of the new wheels, I love it!

Thanks Callaway!

Well it's difficult to say where the new power is coming from. At .45kg/cm2 the car feels like it did at 1kg/cm2 before the transformation, and thats at 100 degrees plus F. I feel like the turbo doesn't run out of breath like the old stocker felt but again perhaps that's cause the chargecooler is in and working now. Ideally I should have done the turbo, then run it on a dyno(after a baseline), then added the chargecooler and then dyno again. But I didn't. Last week when it was 87 degrees and low humidity the car was VERY strong. I expect my chip back from WC engineering this week and would like to dyno tune the car to really dial in the secondary fuel injectors. I'll keep you posted for sure! Let's just say I'm ecstatic with the results so far, I also will be adding a HUGE heat exchanger for the chargecooler as I'm using the old large oil cooler right now and it isn't really up to the task of cooling in 90 degree plus heat, Its being custom built by an A/C condenser manufacturer to my specs. If I get my chip in this week and can dyno it I'll take some inlet temps before the new heat exchanger and after too.
