S4 Stock Ride Height

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone.

I hope the summer is going well for the group!

I had a favor to ask. If someone who owns a S4 with the stock suspension could measure their ride height on their car. If you could measure from the floor to the wheel well?

This is greatly appreciated, I know I should have wrote this down before (and I did) I just misplaced where I put the paper.

Thanks again.

I believe this is listed on the specifications section of your owners handbook. I have the SE specs, which I'm sure are different

"chassis height below chassis front member 170mm"

"Chassis height below rear link chassis brackets 170mm"

89 White Esprit SE

...a few little upgrades....

93 RX7.....Silverstone

....slightly modded...Muahaha...

New Addition:

1990 300ZX TT......Hmmm

Thanks for the info, but what I am really looking for is a measurement from the floor to the bottom of the wheel well? Both front and bacK.

It would be most appreciated. Thanks again.

Hey Guys,

This would only take but 3 min.

I just asking someone with a stock S4 to measure from the ground to the bottom of the wheel well lip? Both front and bacK.

It would be most appreciated. Thanks again.

But you have to realize that the Esprit body is not consistent... Being fiberglass they don't all pop out of the mold exactly the same every time.

The chassis is made on a jig and that is why Lotus chose to measure from the chassis down to the ground.

The cars also tend to sag on one side (in the USA anyways) so that measurement is fairly useless.

Maybe if you clued us into why you suddenly need to measure the ride height?
