2nd September LEGS meet at Powmill Milk Bar

Recommended Posts

I am sorry that I haven't been able to organise a venue for September before heading off on holiday. Gordon Masson was trying to arrange something with the Grampiam Transport Museum but that fell through, but will hopefully be on the calendar for next year.

So if you all want to meet up on the first Sunday in September, the old faithful, Powmill Milkbar is as good a venue as any and they are quite used to groups of car and biker enthusiasts turning up on a Sunday for breakfast.

Usual time 10:00am until midday, Venue: Powmill Milk Bar, Powmill KY13 0QG

Names below if you are attending:

Why not? Just back into the country late last night. Looking forward to Knockhill BTCC tomorrow! I'll be on one of the SMMC Rescue Units if anybody wants to give me a shout.

You kept that very quiet!

I will be on holiday but will pop round to see the new edition to the family when I get back.

Unfortunately we can't make this as Sandra and I will be plodding along at the Glasgow 10k (plodding being the operative word considering we have not done any training)

Would love to use the meet as an excuse but other parts of me may be aching instead !!

Have a good one and hope the weather is nice.

Er ... I dunno as I just came in to find out myself as I couldn't make it in the end with an unexpected work commitment. I am presently in sunny Montrose on another damn Major Emergencies Management Co. One of these days I am going to get some quality time off

Hopefully Ronnie or Mike will post up to say something happened to keep up our 100% LEGS Breakfast Club record.

I have emailed Mike (my cousin) to see if he was there.

He was hoping I would be there to surprise my with his new toy a 1974 Elan +2S/130. He is currently restoring his S3 Esprit.

Hello Brian

Yep, just! 2 cars turned up, ourselves and Mike from Edinburgh with his nice red Esprit turbo, the weather was good (NO RAIN) and we had a very enjoyable chat and breakfast. Nice bacon roll!

Was good to get out and about on a Sunday morning!

Hi Mike,

I'm sure we exchanged a wave on Friday afternoon in Kirkcaldy. I was inthe Evora on my way to BMW to collect a new aerial for my good lady's car. Your +2 looked great.

You appear with the tedious inevitability of an unwelcome season.

Hello Derek

Indeed we did, Dunnikier way - my co-ordination with flashing lights and 1970's Lotus technology was a bit slow :) Your Evora looked great however!

At least managed a wave !

At least you weren't on your own.

The cars look nice and shiny.

Good to see MikeT over from Edinburgh, he's been missing for a while.

MikeT and I were the only attendees when i tried to organise a regular evening meeting a few years ago when it was the old Esprit's forum.

Still 2 cars are better than no cars! Both looking lovely there. Haven't seen Mike T out for a while so sorry to have missed you.
