I really like the side on look of the Exige S, the longer lines help it. Not sure of the rear view yet, sometimes I like it sometimes I dont - strange.

I like the idea of getting an Exige S and making it into the roadster.

Does anyone know what real life fuel economy is like with them. If its as low as the Evora S I'll stick to the NA Evora. I guess the road tax is as expensive?

I am quite interested in this too because I am in the process of 'earmarking' cars for future purchase which probably by the time I get round to buying them which is anything from 5-10 years after launch all the niggles are generally sorted and they are quite good cars.

Damn.... I've driven both now and still no outright winner. :help:

Bet you can't wait to drive the Exige Cup with 100kgs less think it will be the one to have

Oh I'm staying well away from that.... if nothing else it's seriously pricey! I've daren't add up all the options you're likely to need to be able to live with it on the road. Serious dosh.

Nope, don't worry about additional options; AC & rear parking sensors look like the only options for every day driving; others are for track/racing

Yes the base car is that good

I"m sure it is, the standard S is an amazing car, huge grins all round. However, I think I'm mellowing in my old age and the Evora is starting to edge ahead...

After lots of procrastination.... I decided 12 wonderful years of Elise interiors were enough! I drove the Evora and was hooked... just took a while for it to sink in!

I had a test drive of the Exige S (just straight line fast runs) and expected it to be like an Elise but louder and faster. In fact it felt more like the Evora but more "planted" with fantastic acceleration. So, for driving pleasure the Exige S has it, maybe the Roadster would be even better on a warm sunny day.

However, having recently spent 12 days and 2,500 miles driving around the Black Forrest, Swiss, Austrian and Italian alps the Evora is an amazing all-round car. Performance to put a smile on your face and enough space for two adults and luggage on a 2 week road trip.
