Popular Post Davey D
Continuing from my earlier post about a carbon rear diffuser, and tow strap. I bought the one from Matt, and got it fitted last week. Think it looks great!

Jcx
I suspect the semi-auto box makes a big difference. That why porsche always fits the PDK to its GT cars for recording lap times. Not sure how much the PDK is worth but I suspect it could be 0.5 of a second per gear change which is reflected in Porsche’s own 0-62 times for its manual and PDK GT cars. I didn’t count the number of gear changes in that lap but assuming it is 6 or more then some of the disparity can be reasoned. In summary I’d happily have all three of those cars in my collection and I can imagine I’d get good use from them all.
Jcx
Incidentally I piqued my own interest so counted the great changes at 20 in the Exige lap. I suspect therefore that 0.5 secs per gear change is a bit long else it would have annihilated the other two. Still the manual box will be slower. Popular Post EldonZ
It is not always the physical time to shift gears but the loss of acceleration during the shift. With the C6X gearbox for the 2ZZ motor, it is not unusual to actually see the MPH drop during a gear change. When you look at data from a PDK, you will not see the shift points because MPH is not lost during the shifts. Later, Eldon
Jcx
The sport 410 is quicker round the same circuit that the 981 GT4 which was only available as a manual. Sure the 718 GT4 has more power so should be quicker but by how much? interestingly the 997 GT2 RS was slower than the 410 Sport too. That was also a manual only car but I doubt it was wearing the Cup 2 tyres that make such a difference.

How did you find quality wise the Komotec Carbon Fibre Side Barge Boards and fitting also. I think they are Eltech ? Also I see you have the rear barge boards in Carbon , were they from Komotec too Thanks

They got fitted up perfectly by my dealer with no issues either........the same goes for the rear barge boards which i bought from eliseshop.com. The rears are labelled as a cup 380 item. These rear barge boards or skirts whatever you like to call them have a different shape slightly compared to the genuine lotus ones. The genuine lotus rear boards i believe dont come in carbon from memory. My side scoops were purchased from SSC in sydney australia who i believe source them from the UK FYI.
