simonb
Just had a very near miss. Went to start car - no tick tick tick, ignition off / ignition on then tick tick tick. Drove out, had brief stop, and then it would not start again, no fuel pump. After about 20 goes, and my complete lack of success in locating pump, it started. Car came with a spare pump, and these seem a little temperamental. Any experience with facet pumps (used to have one on an old marcos, and never had a fueling problem) Recommendations / supppliers / part numbers appreciated
molemot
They are, I think, SU fuel pumps ... these rely on contacts to work. You can get electronic ones and even kits to convert your pump to electronic...some of them even make the same clicking noise for verisimilitude!! Here's a starting point.... http://www.sucarb.co.uk/ProductCategory.aspx?ParentId=16 Quote Scientists investigate that which already is; Engineers create that which has never been." - Albert Einstein
