Now then, now then?

What's the point? How is this spending of public money in the public interest? Are the CPS looking solid for a conviction? Why has everyone waited until he's dead and how come, before anything has even been proved they.re taking down the bloke's gravestone!

Witch hunt, kangaroo court etc. If he's a dirty paedo then so be it, his reputation will be duly besmirched but guns are being jumped after the horse has bolted and all that...

Bibs, I think it's as much about a sense of justice for those who've had a crime committed against them than anything else. Plus a cover up would be a crime, I think it's pulling strings to an extent to see what pops up too.

Who? - Mr cigar.

Does seem a little odd all this coming out now.

Was he that untouchable?

This guy was a nutter - gold coffin at a 45 degree angle!?! I'm sure he was capable of anything but as you say, what good does this do? I cant really imagine it but if I was a victim of something I had kept quiet about, I would keep it that way unless there was something to gain. Now he is dead, who can gain?

Sensationalism? Probably. :harhar:

One of the most tragic aspects of the Jimmy Saville case must surely be that the legendary "Fix it" item of the young lad being taken out in the Bond Esprit at Hethel will never come out of the vaults again.

I've wanted to watch this again for years and years hoping it would crop up on Youtube etc. or be repeated on UK Gold or something. Now the baying mob would most likely aim their pitchforks at anyone who dared to host it.

Anyone got it on VHS?

Mate of mine said he knows the guy who bought Savils Rolls Royce. Apparently he paid twice its market value.

Now it's about as desireable as a turd in a puncbowl.

I guess there's a lesson in buying celebs cars there somewhere

To me, one of the most alarming things is the number of people who must have had knowledge and did nothing. To me they are almost as guilty.

Thats the big debate right now Roger. All sorts of things being said some sensationalist and others true. It's difficult to see the facts for the rumour.

I was on the program but don't remember anything bad about the experience.

No, I got to sit on his lap...genuinely....which worries me a little and may explain my night terrors :)

But he was fine the time I went on it, which was the 007 Esprit one.

I haven't read any allegations that he did anything wrong with the kids on Jim'll Fix It, just underage girls in the dressing room.

Trouble is, very few people are all good or all bad they are more like the curate's egg. It's just easier to classify them as all one or the other. So now his name is mud, everything he did is tainted even though he did do a lot of good things with raising money for charity.
