has anyone used any soundproofing on their elise/exige ? did it work well ? since i have bought my elise it's the basic version not the touring , i have found that at 80mph it is loud and i have to turn my music up very loud to hear it . i do love the sound of the car accelerating but i also like my music as well .what products work best ? i plan on doing from under the seats to up to the back window . there are loads of products on e bay all claiming to be the best but which is the best ?

I think it's very uncommon for people to soundproof the cars and to be fair, pretty futile too. If you soundproof the floors/doors etc you'll get noise from the roof still at those kind of speeds...

I suspect it would make quite a difference at lower speeds until wind noise takes over.

Tesla sell 2 very expensive sound proofing kits

Some owners have used dynamat to good effect - its often on ebay in sheets / reels and has the advantage of keeping your feet warm in winter if used in the footwell.

I have had my Elise fully carpeted, the carpet has a sound prof backing and the difference very noticeable.

Check out this guy

He sells a kit for around 180:00 pounds.

It a fiddly job seats out etc but if you want to make you car have a more luxury feel and make it less noisy in the cab it's the way to go.
