Oil Sender?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what the fitting size is into the engine block? 1/8 NPT?

And what type of sender do I need, what was the original?

The thread is 1/4"NPT and readily available from ebay. The original sender was a veglia and was also fitted to Fiat X19s and ferrari 308s I think.

I know that is not 1/4, and do not even think it is npt (if you are talking about the small cover that you attach to on the block). The oil sender should be mounted on the top right rear frame rail, and connected to the block cover with a small black plastic tube. RD Enterprises had some custom stainless hoses made up for that purpose, and they are quite affordable.

However, I am speaking of a original 907, the 912 may indeed be 1/4", I don't know.

1/4" NPT definitely fits my 1977 S1 and I believe we are talking about the brass pipe barb that screws onto the oil cover plate on the block and again into the bottom of the sender. You are correct about the location of the sender and the wire that is in the loom also determines whereabouts on the top of the frame it bolts to.
