Esprit S1/S2 - Tyre Choices 2012-2013

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

It seems to me that tire choices have changed (dwindled) since the last somewhat ongoing thread about available tires in 205/60/14 and 205/70/14 (or near equivalents, i.e. 225/60 or 235/60).

What are the currently available V- or H-rated options as of December 2012/early 2013?

Thanks,

Tony

Hi Tony,

The Nexens are pretty good. Just need to get the tyre pressures right but weather is so bad here it might have to wait until next summer...if we have one next year.

Just had Nexens fitted on my car and am pleased with them - pretty good price as well.

I'm needing tires for my S1, but I see that we're talking 205/60R14 front and 205/70R14 rear.

LEW shows the S1 to be originally 195/60R14 front and 205/60R14 rear.

Is this a North American / UK difference?  I've got the original Wolfrace rims on my S1... does the look or handling change much by going with either combo?

(I'm new here)
