DAV1D
Hi, My name is David and I am Lotus-less Lotus fanatic from Norwich. I am sad to say that so far I have not yet owned a Lotus but I will and the brand is very dear to my heart. Having grown up in Norfolk from the age of 7, Lotus was always going to be popular with me but aged 8 my mother went to work the company. I attended the launch of the first Elise a few years later and I was sold. I used to visit the Lotus design centre often and I'd always have my Lotus scrap book with me to show off my obsession. On one visit Julian Thompson even gave me one of the original design drawings for the Etna concept which I still have to this day. I will have Lotus one day but so far there always seems to be a reason why I can't have one. Should money be no object I'd opt for an Esprit Sport 300. Anyway I'd thought I'd join a group of like-minded people so here I am!

DAV1D
Thanks all. As I said I am a Lotus fanatic but I'm also an Automotive writer/blogger so I may pop in from time to time to get info and facts for some of my pieces. Also if anyone would like to talk about their car then I would be more than happy to publish it on my website under our new i-DRIVE section. That being said I will try my best not to shamelessly plug my site whilst I'm on here as I joined purely for my love of Lotus.

Guy Munday
Hi David, I'm your local Lotus dealer but that doesn't make me a bad person. I'm at Long Stratton so call in any time - the coffee's always on. Let me know if I can help with any of your writing if you find some gaps in your knowledge of Lotus. Oh, and I promise not to try to sell you anything Guy Munday

OwenGT3
Hi David, welcome to the Norfolk group. I'm another local Norwich owner, you may have seen my Lotus around Norwich as I use it all year and about twice a week to go to work in, travelling through the city centre (Although not this last week!). I have a Lotus Esprit GT3 in Norfolk Mustard yellow. This year it's only on the road until May when it comes off for a major body and engine restoration, hopefully completed within two years. You can check my car out over on Flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/owengt3/collections/ The love of Lotus usually does start in childhood. Last time I popped in you had the T125 in the showroom and the Evora Enduro if I remember correctly. Next time I pass I'll have to pop in and say hello! Hi David, welcome to the Norfolk group. Owen Hi Owen, I haven't spotted you yet and my Lotus radar rarely lets me down. I shall keep an eye out for you over the next couple of months. My car is easy to spot (although I haven't driven her much lately) as it is the only one in the UK like it:
Kimbers
Thats wierd David, you don't look like an 18 year old yobbo!! Are you sure thats your car and not just winding us up?? Hehe. DAV1D
A yobbo would have bought a Corsa VXR! hehe I must admit the hot-hatch thing has worn thin. Especially when I think about what I could have bought for £17k!! This is the 11th car in 9 years so I have a habit of chopping and changing. Trouble is I bought new and it's italian so it is worth less than I owe on it. It is rare though. Only 250-odd registered in the UK and 190(ish) bhp from the 1.4 isn't too shabby. Might have to get the wheels refurbed to be less chav-tastic!
Kimbers
yeah I know. I'm a car buyer for a large rental company for my day job so I know all the cars. Best job in the world if you get bored easy, I get a new one every 3-6 months Quote Possibly save your life.
