amoss
I regret to inform you that Bob Chapman passed away this morning at St Giles Hospice in Staffordshire. A stalwart Lotus man and long time owner of a Guigario Esprit Turbo he was also a previous owner of two Excels. Bob was also the founder and organiser of the Club Lotus Staffordshire branch who have provided a presence for Club Lotus at The NEC Classic Show in recent years. Bob's white Esprit has been a familiar car and we will have fond memories of him spinning it on the parade lap at Castle Combe and pulled up on the M42 by the boys in blue. You will be "bobbed" no more. Rest in peace.

Bazza 907
I once bought some tyres from Bob. When I asked him how much he wanted for them he said "make me an offer". I did but he just laughed. I thought it a fair price so was a bit taken aback by his response. When he stopped laughing he said, "no way, they're not worth that, you can have them at half that price". Genuinely nice bloke with a huge enthusiasm for Lotus RIP Bob.
