Original S1 door mirrors - Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC - The Lotus Forums Jump to content

Recommended Posts

I don't know if we ever got any further regarding the S1 door mirrors.... Think I remember talk about getting a mould bade up and making new ones?

In any case, I want to source one or preferably two of the original mirrors.... That is the small black pod type that fit in the corner of the A pillar.

Has anyone been making these mirrors or alternatively have two....or one for sale.

Thanks

Matt Watts made a mould, I believe he sold it when done to Mike @ Lotusbits.

I have one of those mirrors at home somewhere.

They are similar but they are not the actual shape of the original mirror.

Onlys S1 anoraks (like me) are likely to spot that though.

It would be nice to see a picture of a car with those mirrors on it if any one has them fitted????

I know a guy in Cleveland who's garage we could break in to to score a few sets.

The mirror is only part of the problem as you also need the metal bracket it fixes to. I have an original mirror which I took the mould off - the one that Matt had and sold to Nick Fulcher. Obviously Nick is no longer around but his son Steve now runs the business I believe, so you could try him.

Not arrived yet but I was told when I ordered them that they are hand made and there were three people in front of me....

Lotusespritparts.com seems to have this mirrors available :)

They're pretty close to the original shape. But it doesn't show the bracket needed to mount them?

Paul.
