Slow pick up at low revs

Recommended Posts

I have owned my S4 for a while. One of the issues I have noticed is that if I suddenly push down on the throttle from a low speed start - it takes a moment or two for the engine to spring into life. No issues when I am at higher speeds - just at the lower end. Anything I could check?

If it happens at about 2,800 rpm that it springs to life (about the time it comes on boost), it's acting exactly like mine.

Turbo lag, it's inherent in how it works.

Thanks guys. So nothing to concern myself about - just work with it.

I think there are various chip options which change the low down torque, but I have never looked into them. Others on here would know a lot more than I do about that Paul.

Thanks guys. I think I will just learn to live with it - it has not got any worse, it has caught me oout a couple of times when I am pulling away from a junction - but hey - I'll live with it!
