Alan has been assured that there won't be anyone else at the track this year. We'll have our usual spot by the fencing overlooking the pit lane :)

Castle-Combe.jpg

Club Lotus have held this event for many years at the excellent Castle Combe circuit in Wiltshire. It's a great family day out and a chance to get your car out on track in a safe environment with other owners in a Lotus-only environment. There are still places available to get in on the trackday, details below in this from Alan Morgan, Chairman of Club Lotus.

We've still got some track driving packages left so we’re throwing the day open to all Lotus enthusiasts. if you want to join in the fun see www.clublotus.co.uk or contact AnneMarie at Club HQ to book your place or for more information. AnneMarie's email is [email protected] or phone her or Jane on 01362 694459 or 691144.

The day is designed to appeal to both experienced track drivers and first timers. If you've never driven on a track before this is an ideal way to start as we only have groups of 12 cars on the circuit at one time and free instruction is available from the Castle Combe instructors.

You'll have plenty of time and room to drive at a pace you're comfortable with and in safety. We guarantee that you'll come home with a much better understanding and knowledge of your Lotus - plus a big grin! Two drivers can share a car and passengers aged over 16 are also allowed on track.

There's also our usual free lunchtime track parades for anyone driving a Lotus (all passengers allowed and no helmets required) plus some fabulous historic Lotus cars will also be displayed on the circuit.

We're also organising an informal free auto jumble so if you've got any spares to sell bring them along and turn them into cash.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Alan

My pic!

Of course, I'll be there.  My first and now favourite Lotus venue.  And I get to sing loudly all the way there.

Should I track for once in my life - with a bit more Bibs-style instruction...?

I foolishly agreed, on the worst day possible, to try out a chip for which Chris knew no provenance. it turned out to be a right munter. Seriously, Barry, I could barely keep up with you!

Haha, bit further south this time! Right time of year though, we were in Dorset for my birthday last year at exactly this time but we're on a different continent instead this year  :)
