Miles per tank (u.s.)

Recommended Posts

I'm achieving around 250 miles per fill up (if there is such a thing)

What is everyone else getting from their cars?

Hi Chris, What does that translate in miles per tank?

....per fill up of both tanks.

I'm getting about 460~480 km. S4.

That equates to about 285~300 miles. I'm filling up with the needle about halfway between 1/4 and E

I guess I must have an issue with the injectors or ECM. The best I get is 225 miles or so.

I drive her like she is made of glass. Oh...she is.

Have had a high idle issue for some time (1,100rpm). I think it may be a leaky injector.

That's somewhat of a relative question.  How low are you letting the tanks get?  Waiting for the low fuel light or using the gauge?  I just drove a 2500 mile road trip at mostly 75mph and got 24+ mpg, with over 400 miles per fill up.  My "fill up" was about 16-17 gallons and it was after the low fuel light came on.

Incidentally, before installing the PUK #6 chip I was seeing 28-32 mpg.

Driving in the city still gets me over 300 miles per tank. Apparently I'm not as lead-footed as some of you!

I filled up Sunday am, drove to Norfolk & back - 250 miles. fuel gauge still way over 1/2 full. When running in I did see almost 40 mpg on one trip. This year, I'm averaging 26.2 mpg.

I attended Goodwood FOS last month in my S4, a 600mile round trip from North Yorks. and worked out I achieved around 30mpg which amazed me to be honest.

That said, I reckon its lucky to manage 20mpg when driving locally.
