What Evora improvements would you like to see?

Recommended Posts

Staying on the theme of doors, I'm not able to rest my arm/elbow on the door when crusing, maybe this could be considered when redesigning the Evora to suit our every need :)

I like where the window switches are.

I'd like the peddles not to be offset, not to have the left hand display defaulting to KPH, and servicing to be less frequent.

I'd like a slightly louder ticking from the indicators!

when talking on the car phone it seems that the other part does hear the indcators even louder than the driver IN the car.....

More space in foot wells. I shouldn't have to consider the type of dress shoe I buy so I can operate the car and I'm only wearing size 10.5 shoes.

Digital dash that can be configured to different modes (like Ducati 1199) and features like laptops, g meter and 0 to 60/100. Perhaps a HUD option.

That will be difficult given how the chassis is constructed.

1. real brake vents on front bumper.

2. relocate engine bay blower to unblock RH side vent.

3. exterior trunk key latch.

4. relocate phone mic to steering column.

5. add seat belt loops to seats

6. replace seat back adjustment knob with latch lever instead.

7. revise rear ventilation hose with one that won't peel over time.

Sensible

Also:

1. Volume controls on steering wheel

2. Bigger glove box/ general stowage

3. Digital mph readout

4. 7th or longer ratio final gear for motorway cruise

5. Move the fuel filler button so I don't open the flap instead of turning on the lights

6. Better windscreen wiper/ wash system

...

Nothing major, mind .

the dream would be the same shell but a hardcore stripped out version...

this would boast lower weight.. no carpets, no door handles (just cloth tags like a GT3 RS), no unnecessary electrics, thinner glass, carbon body panels, 400bhp and a better manual gearbox or decent Getrag or ZF Double Clutch transmission! a perfect car (in my eyes anyway!!)

Sports racer looks like it but isn't :-(

I'll stop dreaming now ;-))

Actually, why not? Porsche has proven there is a market for such a car with the GT3 / GT3 RS.

They sell them for a ridiculous price, but can't build as mny as they could sell.

If you have the choice between a Stairway to Heaven and a Highway to Hell don't forget the Nomex®!

Captain,  Lotus Airways. We fly lower!

A revision of the existing car (no need to change its looks) with all the niggles sorted in a purist "Chapman" respecting fashion...

Light, focused and cutting edge. A car that would not only lap faster than a 911 but a car that used less fuel with looks that could kill!

It's so close to perfection. The NA and S are great cars but we need a headline car like the Scuderia for Ferrari or the GT3 for Porsche... More expensive but limited in numbers.

Please make it Lotus?! Please!!!!

I wouldn't be surprised to see one tbh, in the classic 'we've lightened it by taking out all the nice stuff but you'll pay more' way that Porsche and others do!

One that looks like a slightly hotter version of a Sports Racer...

Turbo powered version of the engine maybe?

Tighter suspension for proper track work..

Ceramic Disks and racing orientated Exhaust system to complement the extra performance...

Alcantara interior with lighter carbon racing seats!

This car should be limited in numbers (a significant number) be expensive and have the Stig posting a lap time that raises a few eyebrows..

I'm gonna stop dreaming again ;-)

A perfectly round steering wheel with an oval section & without stupid fat bits where you grip the wheel.

Another inch to the right of the accelerator pedal.

A lightweight version (-200KG please).

Removable hard top (simple lightweight non-electric design).

Road wheels designed so I can brush the curb while parking & only the tyre touches - if Porsche can manage this why does everybody else have stupid too-big wheels?

A radio with perfect reception.

Every car that comes off the line should have fixings so a harness bar can easily be added by any future owner.

Just two from me:-

• White LED's in the instrument binnacle

• First 5 gears from the CR gearbox plus 6th from the nonCR box
