US esprit's leather recolor

Recommended Posts

Guys,

I searched once again but didn't find any info about where to get good quality recolor dye for leather. I would like to redye my interior from the camel tan to a black and parchment combo. I see vinyl dye at many auto places but was wondering what would really dye the leather and not crack or peel. Anyone done this?

I recoloured the leather in my Stevens car from burgundy to black using Gliptone Liquid Leather Scuff Master. I was fairly pleased with the results but it is best sprayed on so I had to remove the whole interior of thr car. There are some pictures here. SuperDave is the real expert though...

I also hear very good reports about a product called Leatherique which you might want to check out...

Good luck, Ian

Ian,

Thanks, checked out the leatherique site and ordered a quart of the black. I also am in the process of ordering new black carpet from SJsportscars! Can't wait to post some pics in the garage on the results.
