Stevens Saftey door straps

My 97 esprit has got the steel straps to stop the door from fouling the body when the door is fully open.

Does anyone know if these straps are adjustable? as mine seem to have stretched a bit.

They are indeed - take the door card off (guide on LEW) and you'll see they are bolted onto the door beams there.

There is a small rivet that locates into the part there for the correct adjustment but often sheers out when the door is sung open too hard and that often leads to over opening. Just undo the bolts and slide the unit up and down the door beam to the correct opening distance - and mind your fingers !

Thanks.......................Door slung open A! That'l be my girlfriend then, i swear she thinks they fold & clip into the front wing! Then she gets in kicks the underside of the glove box & bangs her head on the A post religiously ! He He!
