Prices Soaring

Prices here in the US seem to be creeping up for nice examples.  A yellow S4 just sold on Bring a Trailer for $34750, which is significantly higher than it did just over a year ago.  I have  a vested interest as my 1991 SE is up for sale:

I'm looking for a Europa (1970 or so vintage) as my next long-term project...

Not if you sell before the pop 👍

But when does it pop?  Normally people wait till it's to late.

Made £10k on my classic last year but prices are still rising and sold to early.

This is crazy money for a chaved up AMG.

What's the price of a 1968 Mustang fastback these days? I last looked in early 2016. Decent one from £25,000 then.

£75,000 can get you a good one now.  A mate sold his 67 fb for £24k 5 years ago.  Big mistake.

For all of the seller's bravado, there are a number of things that aren't correct. Including the rear quarter decal position, lack of upper and lower airbox, and door mirror position. The miniature Bond submersible may have been white underneath, but the road going versions certainly weren't.
