Esprit videos on Youtube, hundreds of 'em...!

Recommended Posts

Jonny -one of the nicest videos is the one with the silver 2003/4 US -Esprit V8   ..the guy who sold his car and was a little sentimental about his time with it -some video sequences from gatherings, good sceenery on the road and a lovely music in the background

a femal voice, singing : "should I .. ... "  etc.  (does someone know the song/video already ??  -can't find it in the moment)

Gunter - Is this the video you had in mind?  The song in the video is the appropriately named "Chasing Pavements" by Adele. I'm the current owner of the car. The previous owner made the video just prior to selling it back in 2010.

And if everything happens like it should, I plan a Weekend at the nurburgring end of April, so maybe a proper video of a lap around the nordschleife with my V8.

..do so, please !  I would like to see the video, with inbord & outbord views

Tried to run around the Nordschleife some years ago -passed round 1 & 3 ..failed in round 2 , with a 'hard stop' right side on the Hatzenbach bend.

..right -this is it, we know that the Esprit is not the High-class 'fashion Model' like a Pininfarina creation.. but at the end of the day the Esprit is like a 'wife' ..the one that stands next to you, anfd is always there ..even if it fails from time to time and has some aging marks ;)

only just spotted this little gem!

can't believe how well Barrie's Essex holds off the GT3 down the straights, the performance in 1980 must have been outrageous, the Ferrari 308 of the day would have been toast! Looked pretty tidy in the corners too. Oh, and you can see the gleaming Compomotives reflecting on the track surface. What a car!

Could be time to change the thread title!

I was testing a new chip that day (bad decision) and it was absolutely abysmal. I must have been 40 brake down, and was literally matching Bazza on the straights. Chip was history next day.

those guys in 'behind the drive'  ..should read about more, especially about the Esprit  ;)

Esprit shown with S350 wheels ..instead of the factory version for a typical V8(SE)

-S350 front lip added afterwards -mentioned 'ground clearance'

or:

..talkin about "AP racing" brakes with 320mm all around  :D    ...and camera points on BREMBO calliper

aftermarket steering-wheel is an other point ..but the best detail is his two finger shift on the first ride, prior to the driver change

'has sound & presence'  ..for sure not with factory exhaust -right !?

oh dear, can't help

Look up mine "damfastgang" I have so much lotus footage from inside my own car and also from Throckmorton, I filmed the guys making the film, in fact I think I captured more, my own car had a puncture on the day, I went up there with my pal in his Elise.

What I need is time to upload more, I also have "damfastgang02" which has my last  V8 chasing my pal Lee's "Countach"

off to check out the damfastgang now, sounds like my cup of tea.

Bibs, please feel free change the thread title to 'Esprit videos'?

It's getting like the 'what did the Romans ever do for us?' sketch!

Nice one Bibs! Much better thanks.

It's so woeful I wasn't going to bother posting this, but what the heck, it's got an Esprit in it.

Apologies in advance.

As for rallying with Compomotives?!

Buddsy thats either the worst Esprit video ever or the most artistic!

It's Friday so I'll go with artistic. Moody, minimalist. So atmospheric.

Like all the great directors a lot was left to the imagination!

Genius!

fun trackday yesterday. Clastres is a very small track north of France, you barely use 3rd gear... and my rear tires were completely dry (11 years old...) so let's finish them having fun :

Just for you Jonny...and anyone else..

The roof glass is in there but I think you can hear the turbo whoooshing at places. Also if you listen carefully you can hear the crackling and burbling over the creaking of my roof panel!
