Dave,

It is held in with 4 screws from the inside AFTER you remove the vertical piece of plywood behind the vertical piece of carpet snapped on to it.

Hi all.

Does the surround just unclip? Mine doesn't seem to want to budge and i don't want to snap it. Is it screwed inside the boot? There's nothing in the manual about it.

Cheers!

Dave

There were 6 on each of mine, all rusted and solid. When you eventually get them off, you may find that the surround is still stuck solid. If this is the case, PULL!!!!! the rubber had perished in mine and effectively stuck the surround to the body.

Is there a source for these surrounds for the S2?

In a word...nope! I had a nightmare trying to get hold of one a few years back (maybe someone has remanufactured them since).

Seems like an easy pattern to make copies of though...if there's enough demand might be worth looking into getting a batch made up. What do they fit...S2,S2.2,S3?

I thought Sports Car World in Texas might be able to help but they make them only for the S1.

New abs plastic parts

I put extra screws in mine as they were sagging in the middle.

Mine are sagging in the middle as well................I'll give the "screws in the middle" a try for now.

I will do a little research on getting a few surrounds popped out for those of us who need them.
