Club Lotus North East Scotland 2014

Recommended Posts

Hi folks, well lets hope you all enjoyed your Christmas and New Year break.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best for 2014 and to wish you all the best of health to members new and old.

As you have been previously notified this year ALL correspondence will be sent via Club Lotus North East Scotland website/GMail as it will be far easier to manage and save loads of time jumping between three web sites so I hope you can all remember your logon. We will continue to post notes on TLF and LEGS but it will be to direct you to the info on our club site, New members are of course more than welcome.

No doubt Wendy will soon be busy again chasing up administrators and oragnisors for the various shows and meets so be prepaired for the usual onslaught of emails over the next three to four months with booking forms etc and of course it would be a great help if you actually reply this year, it does tend to make it a bit easier.
In 2013 as a club we attended 49 events which was a brilliant effort for a small local club so thanks for that.

We had Kens run which went without a hitch and several other shorter runs which all seemed to go well.

Last years end of season meet and greet at the Lairhillock was very well attended but we had some comments from the management so this year we are on the lookout for another venue, their loss not ours so if you have any suggestion please let us know soon so that we can book our first years meet.

2014 looks like it's going to be a busy year with loads of new members so lets hope our breakdown club stays at a minimum, I think We held the record last year with having used the wonderful AA service to it's fullest extent, 6 recoveries, so this years fee's are paid in preparation for the next lot.

We have a few ideas for something different this year and of course there is the new initiative from GMT at Alford so we will see how that goes on.

Gordon Masson is organising another day out at the Aford track, again so keep your eyes peeled for updates and of course Ken is looking to do another run this year but this time he plans to tie in with a show down by the borders.

We have in mind trying to organise a Gathering of the Clans, Lotus style, we have a venue in mind which has loads of parking and a great place for a BBQ so we may make it a weekend event, further details will be posted as soon as we can find suitable dates.

Well guys that's enough from us for now but rest assured Wendy WILL be in touch soon.

For anyone who know of members who are not yet registered on the club site please pass the info on and suggest to them to register as it will keep everybody up to date and save Wendy having to do three entries.
