Lotus reg numbers in Germany

Recommended Posts

Relating to a german car magazine in 2013 the following numbers were "new" registered in Germany (from my understanding are these new cars and used cars, for the first time reg. in Germany)

Europa: 1

Evora: 9

Exige: 28

Elise: 31

for comparison 2012 / 2011

Evora: 15 / 40

Elise: 41 / 38 (Exige not mentioned sep, I guess part of Elise numbers)

Comments welcome........

One of them is my Elise Sports Racer which has gone to a good home in Germany, even though it was RHD. Now owned by a Bosch engineer who worked on the Exige V6's DPM system. Still sends me nice pictures of the car which I enjoy. It was an exceptionally good car over 5 years of entirely happy ownership.

aeeehmmm.

(I have to look at the subcategory "water cooled soulless P" which lasted a second...)

911: 6.898

Boxster/Cayman : 3.865

(it is a sports car magazine, so no numbers for panamera / Cayenne nonsense)

also interesting numbers:

Ferrari 458: 317 .....

Lambo Avent.: 78

Problem is there are so few Lotus dealers left - and at ~70 cars p.A. its hard to make a cent trying.

But I'm OK, the service is great and the exclusivity immense!

I'm sure Lotus do but that's commercially sensitive so I doubt they'd be interesting in sharing. Certainly not something that's in the public domain.
