Mine was not leaking, but had it off and pressure tested and while being tight, it had a small green spot for near future leaking... That was many moons ago, and I jumped the Group buy to be ready in good time.

So had to pay two new oil coolers and a new Water cooler, to get the Esprit ready for the Copenhagen Belt Fest here in July, just because this Group buy have taken so much time to do. It should have been finished and sent out to all of us months ago...

That Little excercise cost me another 1100 gbp. Waste of Money. Grrr...

No offence, but if I am ever to participate in a Group buy Again, I will prefer deadlines to be kept. That would save me a lot of money and anguish ;)

Cheers,

Jacques.

I think that's the plan if there are any more, Jacques. Along with a deposit.

Anyway, from what Sparky tells me, you Danes have to spend a fortune in car tax?

HI all,

Long time ago, I had an email from Alunox regarding the production and delivery of the coolerset, which they expected to be somewhere in July max start of August.

Since I did not even hear anything from alunox yet, I emailed them about delivery, but no answer as of yet.

Did any of you get any info of when we can expect to have it in the mailbox?

Or did it all go Down the drain in memory lane?

Kind regards,

Jacques.

Jacques, last time I spoke to Leon, he said things had been delayed a bit by a late payment, but he was looking to go into production and get them out as soon as he could. He reckoned August/September, but couldn't give me a definite date.

I am just spoken to Leon minutes ago on the phone to let him know there is a bit of unrest in the camp and some think that they have lost their money. He assures me that we have not lost our money.

The reason for the delay is due to late payments and he bit the bullet and ordered the cores from this supplier before the last payment was received just 2 weeks ago. He expects delivery of the cores from his supplier in 2-3 weeks and he can then start manufacturing the radiators. Due to the limited number of cores on order it is difficult for him to put pressure on his core supplier to speed things up.

He will ask Mark Kassim to post up on Monday, when he returns from holiday, the expected manufacturing/delivery times for the completed units.

Hi Guys,

I’ve been talking with Leon and as you say he can’t really put any pressure on the supplier due to the smaller order. They normally have production runs in the hundreds for a particular core size.

Leon has contacted them again and as a result our various cores will get processed between their large order runs.

We are looking at 4 weeks to get them to Alunox.

Thanks Mark, much obliged.

If you look back at my post of 9th July, you'll see that Leon was expecting payment from the last menber that week. To read he hadn't received it until a couple of weeks ago, and as a result the delivery to the rest has been delayed is quite frankly, a disgrace.

I think that as each of these is manufactured they should be dispatched in the order that they were paid for.

An update on the progress would also be good PR.

Hi All

I am happy to have mine sent out last as I have no great urgency to install this.

Well my V8 is in for service just now, with engine out for belts change. They have also taken the old radiator out pending the arrival of the new Alloy Radiator. I don't want to jump the queue and happy to wait my turn as per my original suggestion. No rush to get the car back just yet as I am having my man cave extended and the car is safe and tucked up in the workshop.

I was thinking of getting mine done at the service in a couple of weeks but the car is running so well at the moment I'm loathed to do anything major. May hold off until the New Year and let Brian be the guinea pig......

Hello Guys,

I have not heard anything or got any email from Alunox regarding the production and shipping of the Esprit coolerset, despite being promissed that. I paid on the 15'th of May this year, and haven't heard anything what so ever from the Company. That late payment date was only  because Alunox did not supply me with payment details. Otherwise, I would have paid well before that date.

To me at least, it seems to be a Company who specializes in making small batches and one-off equipment for special cars, including racecars, I think this is a really serious slow responsetime.

Therefore I have had to spend a further 1.100,- gbp on coolers, which wouldn't have been needed at all, if only the production would have taken place.

I am in serious doubt if this Company actually exists or have gotten into some Financial trouble holding funds from customers.

The argument I've been reading on here reagrding the payment being delayed from one participant is of no use to me, as I have read that they also produce 1 (read: one) unit at a time. That, of course will demand another higher Price. I have had that confirmed by Alunox over the telephone some months ago in May. That Means that the production should take place regardless.

Since I haven't heard anything, I have now emailed Alunox that they should give me an honest straight answer within 7 days, or I will take advice from my laywer regarding the proceeding of this trade.

The fact, which I have written to Alunox is, that I want the coolerset, and noone else makes something similar.

If there would be another maker of such a set, I might have chosen that some months ago, instead. But that is not the case.

I have spoken to a specialist in making coolers here in Denmark, and he see no reason as to why the sets have not been fabricated yet. He explained me, that in a case similar to this, he just calls the manufacturer of cores, and get's them within a week. The rest is up to him to make.

I have paid Gbp 1.617,58 for the coolerset as demanded by Alunox.

Since the coolerset have not gotten to me at the 7'th of July this year as promissed in writing by someone at Alunox called Nicky, I have had to buy other coolers meanwhile, at a very good Price at Gbp 1.100,-

So the total amount this Alunox coolerset will cost me, is 2.717,58 Gbp.

That my friends, is a fairly heavy Price for a couple of aluminium coolers and some stainless steel of which they already have all the dimensions from the early produced set that Mark have been kind enough to show us on his car.

If for example Alunox would from the very beginning would have said, that it will take for example 8-9 months to make the coolersets, then fair enough, so be it, and we, the customers, could have made a choice based on a fair info.

To sum it up: in all fairness I think it's is not the way to conduct a business. But I want the set, so I stick to the deal as I have kept my part.

Not so on Alunox's end.

If someone on here know anything more specific on how and when, please give me a hint.

I have also bought the tubular manifold set from Alunox, but fortunately I could buy the set from a member off here, rather than from Alunox. So what I paid for, was already made and he shipped it to me right away. Thanks for that! Most kind ;)

I look forward to installing it this coming Winter, together with some other parts. It seems very well made. So much more a pity that Alunox have those problems in making the coolersets.

If I am to buy their bigger chargecooler, I will make sure to see the actual product I will get, before paying.

If not, they will only get a deposit, not a full payment. It's simply too risky, since I am situated in Denmark, not the UK.

I am very dissapointed.

Just wanted to inform you Guys, as I think I have been fair and Square.

Kind regards,

Jacques.
