February's PoTM comes from last year Lotus Festival at Brands Hatch. Belgium TLF member 'Red Baron' aka Stijn Sioen took some terrific shots at the event but this image captures the Lotus Type 49B in a very atmospheric shot.

Congrats to Red Baron, along with his evocative battling Lotus Cortinas shot, he had two contenders in the running for Feb. Actually any of the shots he posted this month would have made the grade. If he maintains this level of form throughout the year, he'll pretty soon be the man to beat!

Congrats Red Baron!!! I loved the Cortinas as well. I was tanding next to him when he took that shot.

Excellent.  Love them and Eillean Donan (or however it spelt sober) like that.  The old clan pile if I believe the family tree going back to the 13th century or whenever it was.

Would it pertinent to suggest that perhaps there should be a chosen theme for each month? So instead of a collection of random subject matter there would be a definite overriding link between the submitted images?

Ideally yes but at the moment the job is trying to rekindle some interest in the PoTM and get some more uploads to the gallery.

It's a good suggestion for further down the line when hopefully there will be more entries to choose from.
