Armourfend or Detail... help needed?!

Recommended Posts

I have just been cleaning the Evora and found what looks like white paint or glue on the driver's side. It is at the bottom sill and is on the armourfend...

3 options...

1. Try and get it off somehow!

2. Replace some or all of armourfend

3. Get a detail done and ask them to remove it at the same time if possible

What do you think would be best?

The side kit is about £200 or something but I can't remember how much of the car that was for and if both sides.  When I did the sills black I had it all replaced with the factory kit.  (I'm offshore so can't look at my bills) The cars I have had all have ended up with peppered sections ahead of the wheels with stone chips and the dealer was saying about 3 years is average if car is actually used.  For what it cost me to get the front done (no kit) I would imagine  a section of one side would only be about <£75 all in if you can't get it off.

Get some petrol and a rag. Job done. Randomly I have the same, it looks a bit like white paint on mine.

No luck... I gave it a try. White paint is my call too!

Pop it to a detailer, they'll clean it off in no time. I've got a pal I can recommend, based in Tunbridge Wells if you want a number?

Yes please!
