Washer bottle

My washer bottle has developed a small split on my '84 S3 Turbo.  Araldite is useless. 

 

Are these from another car does anyone know?  Are they available anywhere?  Maybe someone might have a good spare?

SJ sell the early ones. I have the same problem with mine but there must be some way of repairing them?

Found another thread and someone has used a soldering iron to repaired their crack and used a tie wrap as welding rod.  I siliconed mine last night and appears to be OK this morning.  Out today in it so see if it lasts.  If not may try the soldering iron approach.  I will continue to try and identify it.  I don't believe they were made for Lotus only. I might try using clear silicone but on the inside so you can't see the repair - IF I can get my big fat fingers in there...

E bay link is no good for me.  People just flog universal stuff and put a car name next to it.  Bet you could find same bottle against another car name easy

I've put some clear silicone on mine and it that doesn't work I just won't fill it up too high hahahaha

Have a look at MK11 mini, I had a spare on an Elite which I gave to a mate for his mini, perfewct fit for the V shaped holder. I may have another spare as well among all my other parts that I am getting rid of, got to check.

Just out of interest

I was at a car show last weekend and found an S3 esprit washer bottle in a Reliant Scimitar SE6.  There were 4 Scimitars and all had the same.  I shall speak to some Scimitar specialists and let you know if they are available.
