Front Splitter

Hi

My brother in law was saying how he often scrapes the nose of his Jag XKR and thought the Exige front splitter looked even lower.

I was just wondering if any owners have had any issues over speed humps or whatever?

Cheers

Colin

It's more about overhang than height, the distance from the front wheels to the front of the car. If you look at the car in profile, draw a line from the bottom of the wheel to the bottom of the front splitter. You'll more than likely find that the Jag is a smaller angle therefore although the bottom of either probably isn't fouling when it goes over the obstruction, the fact the longer overhand Jag takes further for the wheels to meet the obstruction and lift the front are causing the problem.

There's a clever name and I've seen a diagram of these angles etc, can't remember where though. Sorry!

I've done over 1,000 miles in Exige S's and haven't experienced any grounding out at all.

Yeah Berkshire's roads are bad, I used to live there. I'm in Mid Beds now, and I'll give them one thing - they fix the potholes quickly!

Anyway it's good to hear that I shouldn't have any problems when Lotus get around to building my car...
