GT3 decals

I just got my GT3 decals in the post, could some nice GT3 owner please measure how high they are meant to be from the side skirts now I just need to find someone to put these on for me as I will most likely mess it up.

Your post prompted me to look closely for the first time at my decals, which I believed to be original.  Not so sure now!

 

Nearside - starts 3mm above the bottom of the door at the front, rising to 16mm above the skirt at the rear.

Offside - starts right on the joint at the front, rises to approx 6mm in the middle, then back down to the joint at the back.

 

That's going to bug me forever now - and it's your fault!

Mine are pretty similar,

Near side front starts at 15mm from the bottom of the door and goes to 30mm at the rear.

Offside is 17mm and 25mm.

Sparky, yours must have been fitted later. I used to know a PO Chris Sabatinelli and they weren't on then

Technically it's actually a red and black car I made it from and the yellow respray was to appeal to those that don't like to wash cars. The decals were put on using a laser level, it's the bodywork that varies. This only goes to highlight the ability of certain motoring publications to identify the best vehicles in a test.

It's far too many years and beers so I can't remember with any certainty if the door decals were a delete option on the GT3 from the factory. I'm going to say "Yes" it was, but I wouldn't wager more than a quid on that recollection.

 

Still, a hairdryer will easily remove any sticker mistakes...

They were supplied without them fitted, it was a dealer fitment option.

The bottom of the stripe is 20mm above the sill immediately in front of the rear wheels and 20mm above the sill immediately behind the front wheels

 

At the doors it appears a few mm less because of the panel gap, but straight through obviously

To be fair, I'm sure they'll line up on the original bodyshell perfectly.
