Front Bumper/Oil Cooler covers

Recommended Posts

All,

I have replaced my 89SE body shell with an 89 carb turbo body shell due to fire damage. I have had to make several corrections (i.e. drill additional holes). I have come to fit the oil cooler covers (one each side) and realised that I have not the foggiest as to where they fit exactly on the body. When I have offered them up to the radiator cover, they over hang the perimeter of the body by 1cm each side. I could pontentially attach them to the fibre glass brackets/mounts that are riveted to the body. Has any one got any photos of an SE without the front bumper attached so that I can see the sequence of fitting and also the position of the oil cooler covers? It would be much appreciated if you could see your way through to posting some.

I have my front lower valence removed, bumper is still on, the radiator pack is in, but not the oil coolers yet.

I could take pics of where the oil cooler ducts attach, but I don't think they'll fit within the valence of an 89 non-SE...

Thanks Travis,

Only the body is non SE so all the bumpers etc are SE.

Any photos might prove very helpful!

I have the oil coolers in with all the pipe work and although the car is pretty much a mixture of 3 cars; the car is all SE components bar the actual body (which should be generic to SE and non SE). I cannot work out where the oil cooler outer sides should sit as they seem to overlap the body by about a cm.
