Chargecooler Pump Housing Wanted

Anyone got an unwanted chargecooler housing?

 

Rebuilding the pump and found the hose connections very corroded. Rest of pump OK for rebuild, just the hose connections.dodgy.

It looks like I can salvage the housing I have. What we found was that the pump outlet was blocked by vanes from a previous failure. We then checked the inlet outlet of the chargecooler and found they were also blocked with old vanes. Ironically the impeller we took off the car had all its vanes but was cracked.

 

Next time I will go electric.

I have my old one, but it is corroded too.  The face was pretty corroded, I did machine it to smooth it out, and I think I had it nickel plated.

The pump body was pretty bad, so I had to machine it as well, had to reverse engineer it to make a CNC program to keep the same squashed chamber shape.  Then I had it nickel plated to reduce friction.

 

Apparently that didn't last, since I still had to rebuild the pump every 9k miles...

I made a new one out of a hardened Stainless steel.  It lasted a while.

 

Eventually I got sick of rebuilding the pump every 9k, and decided to go electric.
