head removal day!

the plan today is to remove the head and cam towers finally!!

i have a friend who works for renault as an instructor and trainer for all thier mechanics and techs.

he is coming around later to help me sort this out once and for all!!!!

my magnets didnt arrive neither did my liner clamps so everything is being done the hard way.

expect pics tonight of progress and hopefully a non damaged finger dare i say!!

ok well it took quite a bit longer than we though it would and i also had to remove the other two belts.

by the time we got to the stage where we could remove the head it was too dark to remove it and the cam towers.

so tomorrow is going to be the day, i hope.

Good luck, Simon. In the words of corporal Jones, "Don't panic!" It's not a difficult job.

Don't worry about the liner clamps. Just don't rotate the crank with the head off until they arrive or you made something to do the job.

Take care of that finger.
