Good enough for me - thanks @Bibs I hadn't seen the "takes up to 28 days" part. Knew it would take time but I just half expected a reply to say when to expect it. That's fine though - thanks

Excellent news @Bibs - a bit surprised nobody emailed to double check the order though. No doubt it will be right but I expected them to check before making just to be sure. Looking forward to receiving. The car comes home hopefully for the final time on Monday so the timing couldn't be betterB-)

The covers we sell at the Stormshield+ from Specialised Car Covers, although we're £50 cheaper than buying direct :D

They have a fleece lining and are a decent fit, but not as well fitted (eg as tight on the car all over) as the indoor covers due to the thickness of the material. You'll see the difference on their website.

We sell 10+ covers a month, they really as the best ones I've ever seen hence us retailing them to members for the past 5-6 years.

What's the difference with the two options for covers?

Also what do most get for colours? Do you match the car or stick with the green? What would be the closest to lagoon blue and, yes, I will be restoring the interior back to tartan.

You can use the Elite+ outdoor for short periods, it's waterproof against light showers.

A lot of covers are ordered in green with yellow piping and full colour logo (I'd say close to 50%) but you can have any colour combo you like :)

I bought a black indoor one with red piping and badge 3 years ago for my S1 NA Evora. It now fits my 410 Evora nicely.

Very soft "fleece" type material on the underside. Dust and stuff can be easily hoovered or brushed off the top.  They really are very very good....

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

How's the "standard" do for outdoors in the sun for when at work for the day?
Additionally, I have a federal S1 but will eventually switch over to UK bumpers. Will that make any difference with the cover fit?

Anyone know the difference between the full colour logo and the embroided one?  Is full colour just a plastic one or similar?

Where can I find the information on these covers

Ideally want a tailored outdoor cover for My Europa Special and maybe the same for my 82 Turbo although that lives inside more than the Europa so maybe one of the snug fleecy ones for that.

What does upgrade membership cost and how do I go about it?

Thanks as always

Hi Bibs,

I've ordered my indoor cover for an Esprit S4 on 08.08. - order is still in preparation (#MZHYXMWPN). Is this still in the "normal period" or is there something wrong or may be missing from my side?

Regards

Stephan

hello again chaps

i recently upgraded my membership status and was hoping to benefit from free postage for a tailored indoor cover for my ‘82 Esprit Turbo.

When I try to order,  the system always adds 16 quid or so postage and I can’t seem to find a way around this.

Any advice please?

Thanks

Simon

Can anyone comment on the fit and waterproof effectiveness of the Covers please - Looking at an Outdoor one for my G Turbo HC - does anyone have a photo of one fitted to one of these?

In all my years and all my cars I’ve never found a cover that offers real protection from the elements without compromising some aspect of the paint finish.

My worst fears are of microbliatering and I’ve seen it happen on a number of glass fibre cars in the ‘summers’ we seem to have here.

One of my cars currently stands outside and is kept well polished with protective waxes. Then when the wind blows it dries the car off better than it being under a sweating cover. I don’t know what the answer is unless you have room for one of the covers that expands over the car like a canvas garage and doesn’t touch the paint. Saw one at the NEC but can’t remember the name

We sell a lot of them, I've got 14 cover orders in progress at present for the past 4 weeks!

They're never going to be waterproof as they're open at the bottom but they'll provide a lot more protection than nothing. A garage is best obvs, 2nd best would be a carcoon but the cover protects from the elements and keeps the car clean and mainly dry. I advise people to park where the sun will hit the car in the morning and even in the winter you'll see the cover steaming off any moisture, if it's in the shade it'll struggle to dry itself out.

I've had 2 for my Elise's and have an indoor and outdoor for my Evora.

Thanks Bibs - The Esprit proved to be too big for the garage at the house we live in now so is on my drive although its under a Specialised Indoor bespoke cover I bought direct from them about 25 years ago! That then has tarpaulin over it which as kept it dry but keeps getting holed. I'll be ordering one soon then.......... Would still like to see a G car covered if anyone has a shot?
