Coolant plumbing routing question

This will only apply on an early Turbo with the remote thermostat and A/C.

I am in the process of re-plumbing my cooling pipes to accommodate an A/C compressor. The junction pipe which connects to the side port on the thermostat is different and I got a new one from Lotus. (Lotusbits didnt have one).

I am not entirely sure how this fits.

The port which runs across to the other side of the engine bay under the crank pulley (rad bypass pipe) could theoretically go under or over a chassis tube to the left of the thermostat. To be honest it doesnt really fit very well either way but would be nice to get it as it should be. If I get it wrong a clearance issue will no doubt show up later on.

In the picture I have the rad bypass pipe routed under the chassis member which I have marked. Does anyone know if this is correct or should it go above this tube?

Anyone with a car of the same vintage who could help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for this. Not 100% conclusive though.

Been looking at it again, it lines up better if the pipe is under the chassis tube but the pipe then fouls the gear linkage. It could probably be tied away from it though.

If you could poke the camera in down the right of the compressor that would be really helpful.
