Jacques
Hi all, I am missing some of hte inserts in the body, that holds the undertray. I saw some smart "winged" kind of sertnuts somewhere, but cannot find them again; see Picture. The idea is, I think, to add a bit of glassfiber and then screw in the insert, let it cure, and then one can fixate the undertray as per normal. I believe they are recieving 5mm bolts. Could anyone please point to where I can get them? Kind regards, Jacques. Quote Nobody does it better - than Lotus

Jacques
Hi Malcolm, Thanks for the tip, but I would prefer to make it like, or close to, the original. So, I am still searching for those thingies. Cheers, Jacques. Quote Nobody does it better - than Lotus
Jacques
Right, I've finally found some that looks like it. They are called screw in headed Wood insert in size M6 * 13mm. They also come in a slightly different version in stainles. I'll take a Photo and post it, once bought and installed, and tell if it Works. Cheers, Jacques. sailorbob
The OE inserts are rivet nut / rivnut / nutsert fittings.
Jacques
Ah yes, but they Rattle themselves Loose and fall out. That is why I got the problem in the first place. So, I was thinking to install some retainers that will hold themselves better, as well as holding the standard bolt from beneath the undertray. I'll post that when it's done. Cheers, Jacques. sailorbob
When properly installed they will not come loose. It is important to use the correct length for the thickness of the panel they are being fitted into.
CarBuff
Another thing that is important is to use anti-seize on the bolts. A stuck fixing will twist the anchor. I had one or two loose anchors from corrosion...now secured with epoxy. No issues in 18 years. Jacques
Hi Chris, I'm afraid not, and I need one too If I find out, I'll give you a shout. Maybe you'll do the same. And if i find a new, or talk someone to make me one, I'll galvanize it and powdercoat it afterwards. Cheers, Jacques. eeyoreish
My car is missing the main central undertray but I also think there should be a tray below the cooling fans at the front beneath the rad?? Can anyone confirm? Quote Not worth starting anything now...🍺
