If you're an S3 fan and looking for something to do on those long winter evenings here's a possible 1:18 project.

Sure, it's not a perfect S3 replica but it's fairly close and involves nothing more challenging than a screwdriver, a knife and some rapid set epoxy. Plus some patience of course. The project requires two separate Auto Art models as your starting point; an S1 and a Turbo. All you have to do is disassemble both models, select the parts you want for your complete car and bin the rest! In this case I used the S1 body shell and engine together with the interior, wheels and bumpers from the Turbo.

I 'modified' mine a few years back!

It's not teh best job in the world - but then it's the first time I'd *ever* lacquered anything! So some splurged onto the quarterlight and the front lower valance didn't come out too well.

Sadly enough I actually wrote a full guide as to how to dismantle it (they're a bit of a bu99er wuth loads of concealed screws!) ...with pictures and everything! (I've been meaning to type it up since for ever, for LEW!)

Before Paul says anything - YES it still has the door handles because at that stage I hadn't de-handled it! :o

 One day I will get around to filling those too!!! :D

Completely Dismantled, body flatted and ready to mask up...

Done! (for now!)
