I know there is a thread on the events tab, but I want this to be seen by Elite & Eclat (and Eclat Excel) owners.

 

This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the type 75 & 76 Elite and Eclat. We would like a decent turnout of wedge 2+2's at this years festival. I sent out a mailing to the limited email addresses I have form the elite & eclat register last night, and I'll be contacting as many people as I know:

 

Free Tickets

 

"ALL owners of Eclats and Elites get free tickets and will be sent 1 or 2 tickets depending on if they have a passenger and a vehicle hangar for special parking"

 

PM me for details on how to get your tickets.

 

I will be camping across both days. I'd very much like it if I can catch up with as many of you as possible during the festival weekend and hope that some may even join me at the campsite.

 

If you have not been before - it is a great weekend for kids and grown ups - kids go free when accompanied by an adult. I have two kids (6 & 3) and they loved it. So if you have the weekend free, I'd urge you to come along.

I hope there still will come some eclat's or elite's i will ask my customers, if they want to come over, i hope to arrange a club of owners with there proud cars, also some S2 cars,   i dont have

You just have to show it to security to get it the gates. With 99.999% of cars having a screen mounted mirror Brands have gone with the easy option but I'm sure they'll be ok with you waving it at the

Hmmm.... 2 weeks time?

Pistachio Elite wont be finished but might be on the road by then if I push a bit harder, will it make it to Brands!

The free tickets are for your car.....

 

t is the car the organisers want to ensure turns up. The owners I think they are less fussed about, but probably reckon by inviting the car, they have to invite a driver...

I'll be there on the Sunday in the eclat as long as its not raining, ( minor issue with very dodgy wipers) complete with son who would rather normally be dead than seen in the lotus.

Paul H - will the green monster make an appearance?

 

I've had a few people say they would like to come, but have holiday clashes etc. I will PM a few more. We need some more elite's guys, so please make a special effort .

I would love to come but I am working on the 17th so could only do Saturday.

I have the back suspension in bits at the moment so i am not sure it will be ready in time but i will try!

I'd like to be there, but the car being in millions of pieces defeats me!

 

I still think it's badly worded - it says "all owners of elites/eclats get free tickets" - it should say "anyone turning  up in an elite or eclat gets free tickets" - or am I being too pedantic?

 

I may come along anyway.

It's a ticketed event, it might as well say anyone who owns a Lotus gets a free ticket. Not sure the circuit would be so happy, it costs a huge amount to hire for a weekend.

Sorry to hear you can't make it Rodger, but pleased that you are at least going to be there with one of your cars for us to look at. Look forward to a chinwag if we bump into each other.

The main event is SUNDAY ONLY.... sorry if my earlier postings caused any confusion.

 

The tickets I recieved have Sat/Sunday entrance marked on them, and there are some events laid on for Saturday evening for people making a weekend of it, but I'm told that it is not really a full weekend event like it was 2 years ago.

 

The festival is on the Sunday 17th. People will be arriving and gathering on the Saturday, but the day of the event is the Sunday.

 

sorry if I caused any confusion - I was working ont he basis of 2012 being a sat/Sun and my tickets saying Sat/Sun.
