kingK 2
Renewed the cluch hose master and slave and I now have a good working clutch and gearchange .I'am in the process of changing the lower gaiter on the gear lever.Do I have to remove the whole thing to fit it as I can not see any screws clips etc to dismantle the the mechanism to get it on ? mdw 275
On my 88 I just lubed it up and pulled it over the top of the stick ( after the gear knob was removed).

60N4.7 27
Easy to remove knob and rod it is connected to at same time..
kingK 2
So you mean take it off from the bottom by undoing the bolt that secures the whole gear lever assembly?
kingK 2
Done.Could not remove the ali knob so removed the whole thing. Took the pin out of the plastic reverse inhibitor bush and removed.lubed it up and slipped it on, if you'll excuse the phrase .I then put it back together and refitted. The hardest part was centering the gaitor over the hole, leaving enough on all sides under the retaining plate. In all took me about thirty minutes,Thanks for the input chaps.
