Does anyone know a specialist for interior trimming, eg. the carpet, seats, dash the full monty was wondering if anyone has done there car up and can recommend someone

Try the Lotus factory. Good quality, good service and the price is reasonable. Mel Broome helped me with a few small bits - don't have his email or number to hand but if you email the address on the Lotus website it will get through.

You could do the carpets yourself - pretty straightforward. Order a carpet set from SJ and then tear out the old and glue in the new. Or cut your own... (more hassle than its worth to be honest).

If you just want to clean your leather and make it look like new again then have a look at a thread posted by Fishy where he and Troy used Liquid Leather to make it look like new again! A cheaper alternative if your interior is not too bad.

I had my seats and sun visors retrimmed by the Factory.

I dealt with the same person above, my experience was different.

The quality of the work was perfect and the price was definitely reasonable but the service was 5h1t beyond all description and I only got my job done once I was forced to write to the then MD / Chairman of Group Lotus!

I was hugely unimpressed and disappointed at how unhelpful / uncooperative they were up until that point.

Two months+ I was kept waiting, keeping my car off the road, for the sake of a couple of days (MAX) work. The last time I spoke to the Dept. I was told that the work was further delayed, completely open ended and that I would be given NO estimated completion date and that nor were they remotely forthcoming with doing anything to assist me

I was being kept waiting behind one or two HUGE, full retrim jobs that were going to take weeks and months anyway, so two days would have been neither here nor there to those.

Once I wrote to said head honcho it was done in the mere days that were necessary!

Having b1tched publicly, I will however, once again state clearly that I am indeed very happy with the quality of the work

Mel Broome and the factory also did the interior of my S3 Turbo about 2 years ago when it belonged to the previous owner( the car that is, not the factory )

From the exchange of correspondence I've seen, there appears to have been dispute about costings, but the quality is excellent.

many thanks for your response guys, many have mentioned the cost being adequate can any of you give me an idea how much please?

i am looking to do the whole vehicle eventually.

eg: carpet, dash, console etc and the seats and the anywhere i see leather lol or carpet really
