You know what Ronin, I'd be happy to be your passenger anytime.

Like the way you keep to your side of the road, don't overdo it and your corner preparation and push-pull control on the wheel is something I reckon most road drivers could learn a lot from. I do get nervous with some who have never learnt to drive properly at a brisk pace. The only way I get them to check their egos and slow down is telling them I'm going to chuck up.

You've got some interesting backroads to play on. Also there's no way our nanny state would allow a car like yours on public roads.

Keep on doing it...it's great.

Nice to see the car from a very different perspective.

Two questions, Frank. Who paid for the chopper? And what is the pitot tube thingy sticking out of the front intake grill?

I think you mean his tow bar.

The chopper was free. I was talking to a few guys at the local Mulholland hangout when the chopper guys asked me if I would like some aerial footage of my car, since they wanted to get some cool video for their portfolio.... Hell yah

Tow hook, it is a Lotus you know... :help:

I did a photo shoot with Larry Chen of Speedhunters yesterday morning.

Larry was going to have a Speedhunter writer add the story once the photos were picked but after I took him for a little 8 mi. canyon cruise he changed his mind,,, :smoke:

To be honest I was shocked by his statement since he has driven in the in the fastest cars in the world.

If you look really really closely, Simon, you can just make out Frank's hand reaching out from under the front grill. He has very long arms.

Ronin on Jay Leno's garage. He seems like a lovely chap, shame he can't control his temper with a keyboard in his hand.

I met him in Las Vegas for a Lotus Owners Gathering a few years ago, when the car was a grey Exige, and he was nice in person. A little brash, but nice as long as you didn't say anything bad about his car to his face...  (always a good practice anyways)

I have never met Frank, but I wouldn't disagree that he is likely very nice when you meet him personally -  in a very American way.

Unfortunately his web vocabulary is pretty focused on four letter words, a bit shizoid (as most of us).

A nice bit of film and a good talk through the car, finally it all came together with the Drive (for a mainstream TV?).

Now I can see you were very restrained on camera Frank, but were you tempted to slap Jay Leno's hand holding the gear knob all the time? (generally he didn't look like a good driver).
