It was a fairly tidy looking red S1 501 Elite.

 

Body had been off the chassis, galvanised chassis then painted. Interior looked good. Generally looked to be a tidy and fresh Series 1. Had roundels with numbers on the doors, which may have been hiding paint marks? But on the whole it looked to be one of the better S1 elites out there.

 

Came with a spare engine and box. Pictures showed a baby elan parked in front of it, so it's been a caring owner who has done it as a project a few years ago, then stopped using it.

 

It had no MOT or tax, and a private plate ending MX.

 

It was 1K starting price with reserve not met. The de-listed shortly afterwards
