Rear splitter mounts

Hello everyone.anybody replaced the rear splitter mounts as mine have totally rotted i have taken the boot floor out and cant see a way to get to them to unbolt them. Any help would be great.

hi  yes I did mine about 3 years ago ,drill the hole in the rear bumper a bit larger then use a toggle bolt ,fit it in the splitter first then push it through the hole it will then open up you may need to put a plate or a large washer on the inside of the bumper which you access from a small opening in the boot , its a bit fiddly but it works as I say mine was done a few years ago when I fitted a twin exhaust system  regards Paul

So theres no other way apart from cutting into the bumper?

Finally remembered where these bolt into. Now on splitter back on when the rain stops

thanks Paul. I remembered that they bolt through into the boot so I managed to replace them by undoing the x4 10mm nuts and then undoing the bolts on the strip on the underside of the bumper you can then get your arm in without taking the rear bumper off and put the new mounts in.
