Esprit windscreen replacement?

Recommended Posts

Is there a 'how to replace your windscreen' thread anywhere? It looks like someone has made an arse of mine, and before I take it anywhere, I would like to know how it's done. I know it needs spacers, and there's a pack available, but is there anything else I should know?

I'm sure it's listed in the service notes how to go about replacement.

I did think it'd been documented here but can't for the life of me find a threat on "how to"

I know the parts manuals are here for you to download for free but can't recall if the service notes are included as well or not.

I'm replacing my windshield myself soon.

Here's what I wrote about doing the similar job of re-bonding the rear quarter glass.

You really do NEED to use the primer, on the glass, and on the fiberglass body!

On the windshield, the rubber carrier strips are bonded under the edge of the glass, and then the finishing strips snap into place after the adhesive is cured.
