GT4 Rear wing.

Recommended Posts

Has anyone thought about a GT4 rear wing.

If so, HKFEVER in Hong Kong can make them in carbon fibre at a cost of about £1250 plus shipping and is looking at a group buy ( minimum of 10 to cover tooling costs).

Take a look in lotus talk, Group buy evora GT4 rear wing.

Looks good from a distance the way it is reflection the light but too far away to see the detail.

It may be the light, or the camera angle or something but that looks like it has a lot more rake on it than the only one I have seen in the flesh previously which was a Lotus item.  Is it, or have you never checked against an original?

I opted for no high level brakelight.

Checked with my MOT man. If its not there they cannot fail it.  2 brake lights minimum by law.

Unless the UK law is changed within the next 2 years.

Thanks for the updated photo.  I agree that the angles look better there.  Looks nice in Carbon.  The Lotus bit doesn't have bolted end plates otherwise seems to be identical.

The car I saw is recently brought into Scotland and has been posted up on there as an unusual metallic orange Lambo colour that was a famous car over on the Playground I think it was but he has the slatted back window.  The previous owner went to a lot of grief to mount the remount the removed 3rd brake light in the slats as he was under the impression law.  However your man's take is equally plausible I guess.

Will be good to know the outcome in due course as I could be tempted by the wing but not the grief of the brake light especially if retaining the back glass.  I'll maybe ask my tame MOT man when I next see him.

I would consider the third brake light as a must simply for safety. You can't wakethe guy behind you enough!

Your answer is at the top of the thread:

Somebody on here (I'll leave him to stick his head above parapet if wanting to discuss) took delivery of one a few weeks ago and it was up for sale on here as I considered it, as it looked stunning but somebody else bought it but not sure if on here.  It will not be the tooling so much as it is cheaper for all if shipped in a large batch, as the cost price once in UK taxes paid worked out about £1,650.
