Anyone selling a black V8 or GT3 Esprit

Have a friend who is very interested in buying his first Esprit. He wants a Black car and is looking for either a GT3 or V8.

For the V8 it must be a yr 2000 or newer car.

For the GT3 he would like one with a new-style interior and if possible one with a V8 rear wing.

The words Hen's and teeth come to mind.

I only know of 1 black GT3 (Doors) and I've only seen 2 Black V8's (Mark Sweetland's and another running around with a 'V8' plate on it, excluding the Black S350). A lot of poeple mis-judge just how FEW numbers these cars were actually made in - only 197 GT3's rolled off the lines - only 73 cars would have qualified for the later dash, say 1/2 of them were exports and that leaves at most 40 cars made in 8 colour choices ? Red and Yellow being the most popular - to be fair you might be looking at 2-3 cars EVER registered in the UK, it's incredible.

Black suits the Esprit very well imo but is one of the rarest colours to find, if you're after specifics it's even rarer almost to the point where you could be waiting for years for the right car and never find one whilst missing out on all the fun.

Good luck with the search, but if you're looking for specifics be prepared to scour the classified every day and be ready to pounce in an instant to secure the car).

You can buy mine if you want titanium? It a V reg V8 GT with 29K and FSH (serviced only 500 miles ago). Also had full engine rebuild at 21K with new block, crank, liners and pistons. Also I've just completed the final stages of 2003 spec (Has high rear wing, 2002 rear round lights, centre exit exhaust, cheesegrater valance, 2002 front spoiler, OZ Novas.

I know a few black Esprits.

Colin who lives in NW has a V8. Leanard McCullough in NI has one too. Also there is one or two Y reg and W reg ones that's appeared on Ebay about a year ago. More and more owners are keeping their cars now.

A few years ago I had to deliver a 2000my Starlight Black V8 from Norfolk to Wiltshire.

It had two tone Alcantara/leather seats with the Alcantara inserts being almost white (I think it was labled as silver) and complimenting windscreen and roof trim.

It was lovely.

Anyone know how much a full high quality respray (low quality price) in metallic black will cost?

In the event he cant find one in this colour are there any downsides to a new respray?

Additionally anyone know how much the following will cost including and excluding painting and fitting:

V8 rear wing (later style)

2002 rear light conversion

US centre style exhaust and grill
