Taking the Bumper off ended in full strip!

Recommended Posts

Having decided to take the rear bumper off on Saturday to paint it.. I then took the front off... Then it ended as you can see in the pictures.

I guess I will have to get it painted quick before I forget what goes where.

Wish me luck.

Hi Guys

My car is an A reg 1984 s3. It was found in a local garden 3 months ago. The following pictures are the

car in High build primer at 9am this morning. As we have limited shop time to spend on our own project today we have the car in primer and hope to paint the tube!!

Thats as quick as the car LOL should the bumpers  be satin black or red you prob have already painted and fitted them before you read this, looks brill.

That must be a good undamaged tub to have it done so quick. will you keep it or sell when it is back together later today

Hi Guys

The bumpers will be satin black as factor spec.... actually not painted them as yet!!!! Been in today and painted and Primed all the

other bits which will be red.

The tub was in good condition never crashed which is a bonus and no damage, well apart from a few sratches.

And when it's ready later today..... ha ha ha I will probably keep it, but everything for sale at the right price.

Been in today primed all the other bits which will be Calipso red.

A little peek under the cover.

Not much happened this week... :(    Apparently according to my business partner we have to work on customers cars!!

They pay the bills and rent or something???

But I did manage to get the wheels dipped and stripped. So spent the afternoon polishing the rims on the lathe. The centers

we will do in gold.

The plan is to have it ready to put back together next weekend,I hope.......

Stainless nuts and bolts all round :)

Will look lovely with the black accents and gold wheels too :D

Bumpers and the bodywork look great but you've got to do something about the rear number plate lamp holders!

Don't the nuts holding those lock plates on fall inside when you remove it??

Hi John

If you mean the nuts on the plates they are Rivet nuts, which means they are Riveted in to the plates.

Few pictures from today.
