is it out on DVD yet? hate moderen cinemas, far too many people and the stench of popcorn

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

Saw it with a mate, was well wickedest selexshun movie innit  Love the new gritty realistic style. That's closer to what an agent would be like... Trust me, I know B) Would have been more complete if they let him drive a man car like FGRC though :)

Are you, White Bear ?

(Trigger Happy TV)

See, this back to basics stuff was already done with the Timothy Dalton movies.

'Liecence to Kill' was a superb movie.

On that note I watched 'For your Eyes only' as well the other night simply for the 2nd best bond car in it, like 20 years on and the Turbo Esprit still looks the absolute nuts, had me wondering if I bought the right car afterall ! Haven't seen it for about 10 years, that wasn't a bad flick either apart from the very end :P

By far the best spy films are still only available as books or the 'Jason Bourne' ones.

Wish they'd do some propper renditions of Clancy's characters - John Clark would woop Bond's ass :)

The last bond i saw at the cinema was octupussy, whatever year that came out? :)

The Esprit sub was the one i remember most. All other bonds had Star Wars films occuring

at the same time and my attention oh so slightly drifted for a few years or so. The Bourne

films are superb, although i can't ever get that 'team america' thing...

Just seen it as well.

Have to say that I am a HUGE Bond fan, but I was well disappointed with Casino Royale. Don't get me wrong, Daniel Craig is a very good Bond and the mood is grittier and darker and more like Flemming's Bond in the books. But the screenplay is very poor and the plot doesn't flow as it should.

Perhaps I was looking forward to it too much, or it's been over hyped, but like I say, real disappointed...

Seen it, loved it. :) Craig probably second only to Connery IMO. The best bit for me was early on chasing the black guy "on foot". Either he or his stunt double must have been one of the new free runner types - made Craig look a bit flat footed! Incredible jumps and moves.

Cliff

It is one of the best Bond films I have ever seen! I am so happy they did not do any of the typical, absurd and fictitious stunts.

The beginning of the movie. The dude running around like an animal well, there are people who actually do that in real life.

Great movie! I will buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Kimbers, does MJK still have any contacts at EON productions from the Bond era?? This whole Bond/Aston Martin thing is becoming a bit of a yawn (although preferable to the BMW tie in  ). The next Bond film might be out the same time as the new Esprit, just putting 2 and 2 together........

KERCHING!

It's all pay to play now and Lotus could never afford to pay for its cars to appear.

Ford sponsored that film - did you not spot him driving a rental Modeo or all the Jags that popped up... Oh and of course they own Aston Martin!

I loved the film it was the best written one for YEARS.

Craig does all the action stuff well but he is NO Bond! No way no how! He has NONE of the smooth sophistication in the same way that Moore ran like a gay goose!

The chase scene was a rip off / 'influenced by' of that french movie that had the insane chase scene in it that was posted up here earlier this year.

Very entertaining stuff.

The script was the best for as long as I can remember - clever and subtly witty rather than the "Boxing Glove in a Box" style double entendres of the 80's+

Ya I was about to say that - product placement cost incredible amounts of money nowadays.

The original Lotus' in the 1st films were bargains by todays accounts, but it is one thing Lotus don't really do anymore and that's advertise (imo) - I know they don't like blowing their own trumpet much.

I read the book instead :)

No really... I may have had my doubts about Craig. And I still do. Mostly because I haven't seen the film.

But the previews actually do look good. Course it's not hard to beat that horrible movie with madonna and the invisible car  I don't think he'll make a terrible bond, but I still gotta see it...

No entendres? But Bond films were the only ones I could find where people spoke Slade :o

Jon mentioned the Bourne, and the Team America refer's to the way they portray Matt Damon in that film, so thats Jons post mentioning bourne linked to my team america. I'm not sure the year of octopussy but it

almost certainly occured between Star wars films that i went to the same cinema to see, octopussy could not hope to live up to star wars as it did not have as good toys, although previous bond films did, ie the corgi bond sub, in the same toy box as the star wars figures.

So it is not nearly as random as it seems, see.
